1st Post

I decided to start a blog on the advice of a few coworkers. I think it will help my friends and family to get a glimpse into my life as I head off to Iraq. Just to get people caught up here are the events that have occurred in my life in the past few months:

• My mother passed away from cancer. (most profound event)
• Brother moved to California (he has since moved back)
• I received deployment orders to Iraq. (I was stop-lossed with less than 6 months left in the Army)

You are now caught up.

Now for the bright spot, I leave for Cancun with the love of my life, Ana Laura on Friday for a 10 day vacation that I call: "Heaven before Hell" I'll try and remember to update my blog as much as possible.
